Spotlight: Natalie Lynn starts a YouTube channel

By Natalie Lynn Lichtenbert
Environmentally Fashionable/Globally Healthy was borne out of my desire to create a project to preserve the natural life on our planet. My YouTube channel is meant to be all-encompassing because I hope to attract people who might not otherwise consider the importance of protecting our planet.
The channel addresses all aspects of life from sustainability, climate change, fashion, fitness and so much more! Some of my future episodes will touch on sustainable clothing, sustainable healthy eating, going solar, adventure training, and how to get involved locally and more. We’ll be highlighting the changes to our climate that we are now seeing. I will also be highlighting wildlife species to encourage a greater appreciation and love for the creatures that live in our midst.
The project started as a blog, but I chose to shift it to videos and have already uploaded several onto the channel. Expect to see uploads bi-weekly on Mondays. This channel is for you to learn, share and grow in your knowledge of living-as-one with nature. Suggestions for new content that you would like to see are always welcome!
Besides a general curiosity to learn more about our natural world, I bring professional expertise to the subject. I have a degree in molecular pathology and recently received my master’s degree in conservation leadership/zoology from Miami University.
Among other activities, I lead Zero Waste Warriors for the Climate Reality Project: Chicago Chapter, co-chair the Hoffman Estates Sustainability Commission and am deputy director of communication, education and outreach for the Illinois Monarch Project.
Because climate change is one of the main factors in species and biodiversity loss, I speak at local and international events to help teach people of all ages the importance of decreasing our carbon footprint and living a sustainable lifestyle. I’m all about thinking globally while acting locally!
