Bio:
I’m a nature-lover turned environmental and community activist. Professionally, I’ve been a graphic designer for decades with website, marketing and social media chops. When I saw ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ in 2006, I was a single, working mother with little time but I bought a hybrid car and started recycling extensively. Once I realized I couldn’t recycle plastic bags in our curbside recycling, I was astounded at the mounds of plastic that accumulated and was forever awakened to the wide breadth of unsustainable practices taking place, particularly in the United States. I proceeded to extensively educate myself which eventually led me back to The Climate Reality Project and addressing climate change. I want our children and future generations to experience the diversity, marvel and wonder of a vibrant world that I have had the privilege of knowing. People should know that change is inevitable — let’s make a difference and make it positive.
A bit more: I’m a mother, weaver, runner, and music lover with diverse interests and an entrepreneurial spirit. I don’t demonize business or people for current actions but help build the bridge to a new way forward. I see a world of connectedness.
