Bio:
Pam Tate is Campaigns Chair of the chapter. She actively participates in many chapter teams, including regenerative agriculture, trees, and electric vehicles and transportation, as well as working on federal/state/local policy to curb global warming. She was instrumental in urging Chicago to sue fossil fuel companies and stopping PACE from buying diesel buses. She is retired after 28 years as president and CEO of the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning, a nonprofit that helps employed adult learners through career counseling and online degree and certificate programs. She graduated from U of I at Champaign-Urbana with a master’s in both journalism and English and completed doctoral coursework at the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of PA. She has several honorary doctorates and is in the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame.
